The original acquisition of Rotherfield Millennium Green was funded through a grant from the Millennium Commission, with invaluable support from Rotherfield Parish Council.
Essential additional help was provided through the generosity of individuals, businesses and other bodies, both in Rotherfield and beyond.
In planning the ongoing programme of upkeep, maintenance and improvements the Trustees are careful to keep expenditure to the necessary minimum. For example most of the maintenance work on the Green is done by volunteers.
There is nonetheless an unavoidable continuing cost. To meet that cost the Trustees rely almost entirely on donations, both in cash and in kind, and the generosity of the people of Rotherfield and beyond.
The Trustees are very grateful to all who have supported, and continue to support, the funding of the Green.
The Friends of the Millennium Green play a vital role in meeting the continuing cost of upkeep and improvements. To learn more about the Friends, please see the Friends Page.
